Hong Kong, 20 November 2019 – ASM Pacific Technology Ltd. (ASMPT), the world leader in semiconductor assembly and packaging solutions, equipment and materials, announced that its CEO Mr Lee Wai Kwong was named Industrialist of the Year at the YIAH & IOY 2019 Award Presentation Ceremony cum Dinner, held on 19 November 2019.
The Industrialist of the Year (IOY) Award, conferred by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), is the premier award honoring an exemplary industrialist with notable contributions to Hong Kong’s industries, economy, and community every year. It was first presented in 2002.
“I am honored to be conferred this award,” said Mr Lee. “And I accept the award on behalf of all ASMPT colleagues who are so committed to supporting and defending our customers’ missions around the world every day.”
Mr Lee added: “The phenomenal success ASMPT is experiencing is a testament to the passion, hard work, and determination of our team of over 16,000 employees in Hong Kong and globally, as well as the fundamental innovation behind our semiconductor technology that helps create Smart Digital Enterprises.”
Mr Lee’s award comes during a year when ASMPT bagged the 2019 HKMA Quality Grand Award, Singapore Quality Award 2019 for Business Excellence. In addition, ASMPT was also recognized as one of Forbes Asia “Best Over A Billion” companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
