ASMPT SMT Orange Peel Upcycling Workshop

Event Highlights

• The Singapore SMT team hosted an Orange Peel Upcycling Workshop on May 28, 2025, promoting sustainable living and team bonding. Participants rescued 31 plastic containers and 31 glass jars from landfills, giving them new life, and upcycled 2,325 grams of discarded orange peels into useful products.
• During the workshop, colleagues learned about food waste issues in Singapore and explored community sustainability efforts. They discovered creative ways to use fruit peels, such as making eco-enzyme cleaning solutions and body scrubs, realizing that many types of fruit waste can be transformed into valuable, eco-friendly products.
• Teamwork was at the heart of the event, with colleagues collaborating on every step, from cutting peels to mixing ingredients. This experience highlighted how small, collective actions can create meaningful environmental impact.
