Marine Litter Pick with Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project

Event Highlights

• On June 9th, 2025, six dedicated employees from ASMPT’s Weymouth team, including several members of the students’ environmental committee, volunteered their time to support the Weymouth and Portland Marine Litter Project. Together with Dave, a representative from the charity, they took part in a beach cleanup at Chesil Beach, working collaboratively to remove litter and help restore the natural beauty of the coastline.
• Over the course of three hours, the volunteers managed to fill a large bin bag with collected debris, making a meaningful impact on the local environment. The experience was not only productive but also highly educational, as Dave shared insights into the types of litter commonly found on the beach and discussed the broader environmental initiatives led by the charity.
• Looking ahead, ASMPT is enthusiastic about building on this partnership with the Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project. The company remains committed to supporting local conservation efforts and contributing to the ongoing preservation of our vital coastal ecosystems.
