Event Highlights
- On August 11, the Hong Kong team invited Mr. Edwin Lau, MH, Founder and Executive Director of The Green Earth, to deliver a talk titled “Save Food for Good Fortune.” The seminar introduced practical strategies to reduce and repurpose food waste in everyday life. Real-life examples illustrated how small changes can lead to meaningful environmental impact.
- Attendees explored the concept of low-carbon dining and its significance in sustainable living. The talk highlighted how food production and transportation contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Choosing meals with a lower carbon footprint was presented as a simple yet powerful way to support the planet.
- The importance of selecting local and organic food was emphasized as a key step toward reducing emissions. Participants learned how these choices support local farmers and reduce the need for long-distance transportation. The session encouraged everyone to be more mindful of their food sources and consumption habits.
